This 23-acre woodland parcel, traversed by the east branch of the Sheldrake River, is the central section of a 54-acre tract of natural woodland owned by the Town of Mamaroneck and maintained as a conservation area for native plants and animals. The tract features intertwining trails that provide a wonderful walk through various mini-ecosystems.
The main entrance to the Sheldrake River Trails Conservation Area is on the north side of Rockland Avenue, between Highland Avenue and Winged Foot Drive. One can also access the trails from the Leatherstocking Trail.
