How do I make a reservation for Senior Medical Appointment Car Service?: Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made several days in advance by calling the Community Services office at 914-381-7840 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

1. How do I apply for Meals on Wheels?: A home visit is required to determine eligibility for Meals on Wheels. Please call Alicia Nowlin-Downey at 914-381-7840 for more information and to schedule an appointment.

3. How do I arrange for transportation to the Senior Center?: Call the Senior Center at 914-834-8840 by 10:00 a.m. on the day you need a ride. Learn more about Senior Transportation Programs.

4. How do I check the status of my Section 8 application?: You can check the status of your application online once your application has been submitted. Instructions were provided when you applied. The Town of Mamaroneck cannot verify your application status over the phone.

10. How do I volunteer to deliver Meals on Wheels?: Volunteers are always needed for our Meals on Wheels program. Volunteers must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have a car and a valid driver’s license
- Provide at least 3 references
- Be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the day they serve

If you meet the criteria, please call Alicia Nowlin-Downey at 914-381-7840 for more information and to arrange an interview.

Volunteers selected to participate will be scheduled to deliver meals on a mutually agreed upon day.
